Family Life engaged Beeton Architects to transform their Head Office and counselling facilities in Sandringham within an extremely constrained budget. As a local not-for-profit delivering essential family support services, the project demanded a smart, value-driven design approach.

Through early involvement and more than two years of close collaboration with staff user groups, Beeton Architects coordinated over 23 specialist consultants to strategically redefine the brief. Rather than a limited refurbishment, the project delivers the functionality, comfort and presence of an almost entirely new workplace. Across two buildings, renewed counselling, meeting, client and staff spaces incorporate trauma-informed design, accessibility, and carefully considered security and privacy, while remaining welcoming and inclusive.

New staff and community kitchens, flexible offices, meeting rooms and upgraded amenities have transformed facilities long overdue for renewal. The project demonstrates how design expertise, rigorous coordination and commitment to outcomes can deliver exceptional results—well beyond the expectations of a modest renovation budget.
